Cabochons

PAGE 2

Many of these are from my personal collection of cabochons that I have cut for myself, most are agate, jasper, petrified wood, and miscellenous materials from Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. None of the photos are enhanced - indeed, the photos don't do these proper justice. Some are calibrated sizes and all have bevels to accomodate standard settings. Most of the freeform shapes are excellent for display, wire wrapping or custom mounts. I display mine in large Riker boxes, you can get them from some jewelry specific websites. If they have some issues (like extremely small, usually invisible, fractures), then I say so in the description. They are all have as high a polish as is possible and have no visible scratches. I am extremely picky about that. Any smudges are my greasy fingers, speckles are lint, not pits or scratches!
All pieces will be sent via USPS First Class Parcel mail

Cabochon 22 Cornflake Carnelian, Sweet Home OR I'm slowly starting to pare down my personal cabochon collection to justa efw of every material, I'll probably regret doing it in 10 years. Cornflake carnelian is uber rare and is only consistently found from one source near Sweet Home. There used to be a you-dig operation there and I've no doubt that's when this was dug. The entire area is locked down now. 33 x 20 mm

Cabochon 28 Botswana agate I had just a few slabs of this agate and they were cut too thick for most cabochons. So I made a few beefy high dome cabs. 29 x 50 mm

Cabochon 30 Buckskin Jasper, Ochoco Mtns. OR This jasper was dug in the 1960s and is so rare that only the claim owner's daughter could correctly identify it for me. I stumbled into a box of slabs and cabbed a few of them. It takes a very high polish for this type of jasper. 24 x 30 freeform

Cabochon 34

Autumn Hope Jasper, Madras Oregon

This mine operated for just a few years and the earliest material is far and away the best. I lucked into a box of rough when it was first opened up. I've gone through all of it. Almost none of it has the cloudy purple areas. 27 x 36 mm

$18.00

NEW
Cabochon 35 Thulite, Tunk Creek, Washington Thulite is a rare mineral that takes a decent polish. There are a few places around the world that have good quality and Washington is the best pink and green there is. 35 x 31 mm

$12.00

NEW
Cabochon 36 Tiger Eye, South Africa I see so much great material butchered on the web that it makes me a little nauseous. I know how to get the best out of this stone. Much brighter, chatoyant moving sheen in person, I can't post a video here because I have no idea how to do it. 26 x 29 teardrop

$14.00

Cabochon 37 Montana Agate, MT They call these Montana Moss but I think the black dots are the best pattern. It takes a lot of patience slabbing the cobbles and hoping for any decent pattern so the dots are a nice surprise when they show up. 24 x 40 mm

$13.00

NEW
Cabochon 38 Blue Mustang jasper, OR This is a little known and now closed pit in the Owyhee Mountains. I got the chance to dig on the claim once, and I scored some very nice pieces. Really nice whopper size cab :) 47 x 26 mm

You MUST have a valid email address to use PayPal!
You DO NOT NEED A PAYPAL ACCOUNT to use PayPal! If you choose to pay via eCheck, I will wait for it to clear before starting on your order.
Do not ever email anyone your credit card number! If someone asks you for it, they are attempting to steal it! If you email me your credit card number, it will likely be stolen since one of tens of thousands of bots will probably intercept any email that looks like it has a credit card number in it. I wouldn't know what to do with it anyway, that's what PayPal is for.
